A list of sex acts have been banned from UK pornography
The UK has banned a list of sexual acts from porn because of the risk of them being offended, obscene or even life threatening.
Although they haven't been banned yet, MPs didn't oppose the third reading of the Digital Economy Bill - meaning that it will now go to the House of Lords, and so it is one step closer to becoming law.
If passed, the Digital Economy Bill will mean that online porn will need to adhere to the same rules as porn that is sold in a licensed sex shop.
After the implementation of the Bill, the following acts will be restricted:
1. Spanking
2. Caning
3. Aggressive whipping
4. Any penetration by an object "associated with violence"
5. Verbal or physical abuse (even if consensual)
6. Urolagnia a.k.a. Water sports
7. Role-playing as non adults
8. Humiliation
9. Female ejaculation
10. Strangulation
11. Face-sitting
12. Fisting
This list is definitely not perfect. The banning of acts like female ejaculation and face-sitting definitely feel out of place among No. 4 and 5 of the list. However, Matthew Hancock, the minster responsible for the Bill, has said it is "not a utopia, but a very important step" in regulating the porn industry.
